All we hear is whinge whinge whinge whinge. Well, be careful what you whinge for cos shit just got real as I'm somewhat disturbed now to announce, in at #n88. The Wonder Years finest....Mr Brian Hugh Warner aka Marilyn Manson. A rocker called Brian, I mean Marilyn,is apparently an American singer.......

Ok, so yes, an American singer (dont start), song writer, actor, record producer, visual artist, author, music journalist and, the reason why i am writing this post, a frontperson. Frontperson of the group called ..er, Marilyn Manson!
Born on January 5th 1969, Brian and a guy called Scott, put together a band. Scott became Daisy Berkowitz and wanted to be lead guitarist, whilst our hero, Brian, became Marylin ;his stage name was formed by combining and juxtaposing the names of two American pop cultural icons of the 1960s: actress Marilyn Monroe and criminal Charles Manson. Personally, I cant see anything wrong with Charles Monroe?
A hell of a lot has gone on with double M. All his ex band mates seemed to sue his ass at some point. Then other people joined in the sueing fun, then got counter-sued, then dropped the sueing, all kissed, made up and lived happily ever after...well the last bit was made up but there was a serious amount of sueing going on and my guess is the lawyers were the only winners.
Anyway...was he any good as a frontman.? I guess the answer has to be yes. Especially if you like his brand of music. He's got almost the lot. He is enigmatic, has a stage presence and a penchant to shock. There you go..shock rock! His shows are interesting and entertaining..again, only if you enjoy his brand of music. This guy was certainly the main draw in the band. We all know who he is, whether or not we actually rate him. I know people who loved his music and said that he is a complete showman. Looking at his appearance you can sense the showmanship about him. He was particularly good when he became his alter ego, Lady Gaga.
He has done acting too. From The Wonder Years right through to wiping off his make up to star alongside Bradders Cooper in A Star Is Born! Of course I jest. He wasnt really in The Wonder Years. But he does look like the character Paul Pfieffer! (Who can forget Winnie though?!)
Anyway...yes, I threw in some light hearted remarks. Well I'm on my holibobs tomorrow and quite frankly my dear, I dont give a damn.
But back to business. No, I'm not a fan of him, or his music. However, I do appreciate that this guy has a huge following, and those people, strangely, rate him and his performances highly. So I guess, fair do's.
So...if you got something on your chest, you better get it off your chest now as we got some got old fashioned southern rock coming up to calm your jangly nerves.....maybe!
After 10 paces...turn, draw then fire...10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1...
